Step-by-Step Autism Evaluation
1. Referral & Intake
Begin with a referral from a Family Doctor, Teacher, or self-referral. Intake forms and questionnaires are completed.
2. Developmental History Review
Clinicians gather information about early milestones, communication, behavior, and family history.
3. Observations & Interviews
Clinician observes interactions, and conduct interviews with caregivers or the individual.
4. Standardized Assessments
Evidence based tools like ADOS-2 or questionnaires may be used to assess social, communication, and behavioral patterns.
5. School or Workplace Input
Observations or reports from teachers or managers may be included.
6. Diagnosis & Feedback
A detailed report is provided outlining findings, diagnosis (if applicable), and recommendations for support.
