What You Need to Know
What Is an Executive Function Evaluation?
Executive Function Evaluations are thorough assessments used to understand your thinking skills, including planning, time management, and organization skills. The evaluation helps you to gain a deeper understanding of how you successfully set and achieve goals, make informed decisions, solve problems, and regulate your emotions and behaviors.
Evaluation Process
Step 1
Initial consultation
Start your journey with a free 15-minute consultation to help you decide if our assessment services can meet your unique needs. We will walk you through our approach and answer any questions you might have about our services.
Step 2
Comprehensive Interview
During the interview, your clinician will ask you questions about your life story and history, the nature of your current concerns, when you started experiencing them, and how these challenges have impacted your life.
Step 3
Testing
You will complete a series of tests and assessment measures looking at your intellectual and problem-solving abilities, social problems, emotional problems, behavior patterns and thinking patterns. Testing consists of a variety of tests to gain a nuanced understanding of your concerns and to rule out all other possibilities or diagnoses.
Step 4
Feedback and Report
Your clinician takes their time to explain the results to you. Your clinician will explain your strengths, your diagnosis, and answer your questions. You will receive a copy of the full report for your records.
Step 5
Post-feedback Support
We can schedule a phone consultation for up to 30 days post-feedback for clarifying questions. We also offer follow-up consultations with schools, employers, or other healthcare providers to help implement recommendations.
